The International Center for Climate Governance has been established in Venice on the initiative of  Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei and Fondazione Giorgio Cini, Founding Members of the Center.

The Founding Members designate the institutional bodies of the ICCG - the Board of Trustees, the Executive Director and the Scientific Advisory Committee - and involve other leading research centers and entities to participate in the activities of ICCG as Partners, on the basis of projects shared with the Center’s vision.

Cooperation has already started with the Euro-Mediterranean Centre for Climate Change, Princeton University, the Harvard Environmental Economic Programme and other major international organisations and research institution.
