how to reach the ICCG?
The International Center for Climate Governance is located in the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore, just in front of St. Mark’s Square, Venice, Italy. The Island is the headquarters of the Cini Foundation. Below you can find the exact position of the ICCG;
ARRIVING BY PLANE
Arriving at Venice Marco Polo Airport
Venice Marco Polo Airport is approximately 14 Km from the Venice City Centre and is connected to the city by water bus, water taxi, road bus and road taxi.
:: Water Bus
The Alilaguna water bus leaves at least once every hour.
Tickets cost € 13.00 (except for the GOLD line at € 25.00)
and can be bought on board or from the Alilaguna Desk in
the arrival hall. There are four Alilaguna lines:
BLU line stopping at: Murano, F.ta Nove, Lido, S. Zaccaria
and St. Mark’s Square. It runs from 6.10 to 00.10.
RED line stopping at: Murano, Lido, Arsenale, St. Mark’s
Square, Zattere. It runs from 9.15 to 19.15.
ORANGE line stopping at: Murano, Madonna dell’Orto, Rail Station (Guglie), Rialto, Sant’Angelo.
It runs from 9.55 to 17.55.
GOLD line stopping at: S. Zaccaria and St. Mark’s Square.
It runs from 9.30 to 17.30.

Once you are in San Zaccaria, you can reach the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore with the water bus line 2. The journey time is approx. 3 minutes (1 stop) and the ticket costs € 2.00 (one stop ticket). During the day time line 2 departs every 10 minutes.

:: Water Taxi
A water taxi from the airport takes you directly to your
hotel (or its nearest landing area). Prices are based on
the number of people in the taxi and they can vary after
20.00, on Sundays and public holidays. From the airport to
the city centre the price is approximately € 90.00 for up
to 4 people and the journey time is about 30 minutes. You

:: Road Bus
The number 5 ACTV bus (orange bus) travels between the airport
and Piazzale Roma - Venice bus terminal. The journey time
is approximately 25 minutes. On weekdays and Saturdays regular
departures are between 5.10 and 23.10 every 15/30 minutes.
On Sundays and public holidays regular departures are every
30 minutes. Tickets cost € 2.00 and can be bought from the
ACTV stand in the arrival hall from 8.00 to 24.00.

The ATVO Express coach service (blue bus) from the airport
to Piazzale Roma - Venice bus terminal departs approximately
every 30 minutes with a journey time of 20 minutes. Tickets
cost € 3.00 (including luggage) and can be bought at the
ATVO desk in the arrival hall, located behind the news-stand
or at the vending machine outside the airport. The bus runs
from 8.20 to 00.20.

:: Road Taxi
A road taxi from the airport to Piazzale Roma costs approximately € 30.00.
Road taxis are available from the Cooperativa Radio Taxi
Office, located behind the news-stand, or directly in front
of the main airport building. Road Taxis are available 24

Arriving at Treviso Canova Airport
Treviso Canova Airport is approximately 41 km from the Venice City Centre and is connected to the city by road taxi and bus.
:: Road Bus
ATVO buses run between the airport and Piazzale Roma and
are in connection with departure and arrivals flights. The
cost is € 5.00 for a one way ticket and € 9.00 for a return
ticket, valid 7 days (luggage included). Tickets can be purchased
at the ATVO ticket office in the arrival hall The journey
time is approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes in good traffic

:: Road Taxi
A road taxi from the airport to Piazzale Roma costs approximately € 70.00.
Road taxis are available in front of the airport terminal.
ARRIVING BY CAR OR BY BUS
Piazzale Roma is the bus terminal and parking area of Venice.
From Piazzale Roma you may take a water taxi or use the public
water bus service in order to arrive at your final destination
within the City Centre. Garages at Piazzale Roma are: l'Autorimessa
Comunale A.S.M. S.p.a.
and the
Garage
San Marco S.p.A.
Another big parking area is located in the Tronchetto island,
which
can be found just before arriving in Piazzale
Roma.
All garages are open around the clock, all year round and
the rates are between 18.00 and 26.00 Euros per day.
Alternatives on the mainland are: S.
Giuliano car park,
that charges € 4.00 per day or “Garage Stazione”, located
in front of the railway station Venezia-Mestre, that charges € 5.00
for up to 6 hours.
ARRIVING BY TRAIN
There are two railway stations in Venice: Venezia - Mestre and Venezia - Santa Lucia.
Venezia - Mestre is the stop on the mainland before arriving at the City Centre. If your train only travels to this destination you will need to change here in order to continue your journey to Venezia - Santa Lucia, which is the central train station for Venice. On leaving the train station you will be able to take the public water transport to the rest of the city. The water bus stop at the train station is Ferrovia.
:: How to reach ICCG from Piazzale Roma (road taxi and bus terminal) and the Ferrovia (railway station)
From Piazzale Roma and Ferrovia you can reach the ICCG headquarters on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore with the waterbus line 2 (journey time is approx. 35 minutes and the ticket costs € 6.50)
MOVING WITHIN THE CITY CENTRE
The water bus to use in order to reach the ICCG offices is line 2.

Ferrovia (railway station), journey time 40 minutes;

Piazzale Roma (Car and Bus terminal), journey time 35 minutes;
• Tronchetto (parking area), journey time 25 minutes;

San Zaccaria (St. Mark’s Square), journey time 3 minutes.
One way tickets cost 6.50 Euros, moreover short-term season
tickets are available. They allow unlimited travel and all
the services can be used – both on water (exept for Alilaguna, Clodia, Fusina) and on land – that
provide urban services within the municipality of Venice
(land service on the Lido and in Mestre):
- 12-hour ticket: € 14.00
- 24-hour ticket: € 16.00
- 36-hour ticket: € 21.00
- 48-hour ticket: € 26.00
- 72-hour ticket: € 31.00
From S. Zaccaria the ticket costs € 2.00, because there is
only one stop. During the day line 2 departs every 10 minutes.
