4 November 2016: the Paris Agreement enters into force, after the double threshold has been crossed in the past months – just in time for the forthcoming COP22 in Marrakech in Morocco.
What does it mean for us? Why is it so important? Is it really an important step forward in the long process towards controlling #climatechange?
Watch the video message by Prof. Carlo Carraro, ICCG Director:
“The Paris Agreement is an important step forward in the long process towards controlling climate change. For the first time, emissions will stop growing and all countries in the world have decided to control or reduce their emissions. It’s crucial now to adopt measures at the national level to reduce emissions, to change the energy system, to move towards renewables, to change buildings. Our effort is crucial to actually control climate change and save our lives and our planet.”
