The Summer School on "International and European Law & Policy on Investments and Environment. The Energy Challenge" (IELPIE - www.giuri.unipd.it/summerschool), organised by the University of Padua in cooperation with the International Center for Climate Governance (ICCG), and with the collaboration of the Ca' Foscari University of Venice, aims at offering an in-depth view on the multifaceted legal and economic aspects related to international investments and their environmental impact. This inaugural year will be focused on investments on green energy.

IELPIE is addressed to holders of University degrees in law, economics and political science and all other subjects related to the School, researchers, civil servants, internationally operating law firms and entreprises. The program comprises ten lectures held by world-wide renowned specialists, eight workshops on selected themes and a final round table.

The Summer School is housed in the enchanting San Servolo Island, Venice, and in the Faculty of Law of the University of Padua, located in the magnificent Palazzo del Bò.
The fees amount to Euro 550 and cover accommodation in Venice and Padua, breakfasts and lunches, transport from Venice to Padua and learning materials.
The School provides 10 scholarships of Euro 550 each and other 10 scholarships of Euro 360 each.


The deadline for application is July 26th, 2010 (1 pm).
