Think Tank Map
The International Center for Climate Governance has launched the Think Tank Map, a new worldwide observatory that provides an overview on the think tanks active in the field of climate change governance.
Through an interactive world map, this tool makes it possible to see which organizations are working in the main fields related to climate governance all over the world, which projects and activities they are currently developing, and how they cooperate with other entities to influence the policy sphere.
The Think Tank Map allows think tanks to present their own research activities through an instrument targeted to a specialized public. However, it is not only a showcase for the organisations working on climate change governance: the Think Tank Map is a unique tool that will ease the formation of networks, by creating new opportunities for interaction and for building new linkages, to discuss and to share new ideas.
By collecting both scientific and statistic data about many different entities, the Observatory will be the starting point for a series of in-depth studies about the think tanks working in the field of climate change and their influence on policy makers.
The constant changes in think tanks, their scope and activities, will be matched by continuous updates to the Observatory, thus transforming it into a barometer that will reflect how the think tanks’ influence on policy makers is evolving. The number of think tanks currently presented on the maps is just the start: thanks to ICCG’s research and submissions by its users, it will soon grow to become as close as possible to being a complete overview of every authoritative think tank active in the field of climate change governance.
If you would like to suggest a think tank, or to insert the data about your Organization, please fill in the on-line form.
